Before and after appointment instructions

Parking:

  • You can park in metered parking or in the garages. Garages have a QR code you can scan that allows you to pay from your phone during your appointment, which I suggest. If you park at the meters, you will have to physically add money to the meter.

  • If you don’t want to pay for parking, there is free parking where trader joe’s is. You can park there and walk over.

  • Please bring all belongings with you and don’t leave anything in your car.

  • When you arrive at salon republic there’s a call box, you can find my name and I will buzz you in. You may also call me if you have difficulties, 510-695-2391.

Before you book:

  • Books open on the 25th of each month at 12pm. VIP clients books open on the 24th of each month at 12pm.

  • DEPOSITS are non-refundable and are required to book! Make sure to read all descriptions.

  • All prices for knotless, box braids and locs are base priced for mid back length. If you want something longer, it will be in the add on section.

  • If appointments don’t show up that means
    I’m booked for the month. You can still contact me to join my wait list. Contact is 510-695-2391. Please provide full name, number, style and preferred dates.

  • Hair must be no shorter than 6 inches please

  • Wash, blow dry and hair is include in all services. You have an option to bring your own hair but please run it by me first for there are brands that I prefer. NOTE: Bringing hair doesn’t take anything off the price

  • MASKS, are highly recommended but not mandatory. If you feel ill or have been around someone who is ill, please reschedule your appointment.

  • If I suspect you are ill, your appointment will not be fulfilled but can be rescheduled.

  • NO KIDS UNDER 12 YEARS OLD NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • FORMS OF PAYMENT: Zelle or cash only

  • Do not bring extra people with you please

How to prepare for appointment:

  • Hair must be washed at least once before the appointment. Does not have to be washed day of but extreme build up will result in a detangle fee of $50.

  • You must let me know 48 hours in advance if you want to change your hairstyle. If not, the style you booked is the style that will be fulfilled.

  • If you are bringing electronics/laptops to work, please make sure to bring AirPods or headphones.

  • Bottled water is provided. You may bring your snacks and drinks.

Late fees:

  • If you are going to be late, contact me asap to avoid fees. You have a 5 minute grace period. After 10 mins, $30 fee. After 15 mins, appointment will be cancelled and charged a no show no call fee

Reschedules and Cancellations:

  • Deposits are nonrefundable no exceptions. In case of acts of God and other majeure events , deposit is still non-refundable.

  • NO CALL NO SHOW, results in full charge of the remaining owed and banned to book again. All future appointments will be cancelled with no refund of deposit.

  • You must cancel no less than 48 hours in advance, if not you will be charged 50% (inconvenience fee) of the remaining total from the following day/said appointment. That charge can roll over to the rescheduled appointment.

  • If you need to reschedule, contact me no less than 48 hours before your appointment. Your deposit can only roll over 2 times. After that, new appointment will need to be made and deposit lost.

After care:

  • Make sure you cover your hair with a silk bonnet when going to bed and taking a shower.

  • You may wash your braids but be mindful of your texture and know that frizz can happen at the root. After washing put mousse on hair and tie down with a silk scarf and let dry completely.

  • Do not over oil your hair but make sure to give hair enough hydration.

  • I recommend keeping a protective style in for 3-4 weeks but its up to you on how long you prefer to keep your style in.
